The Christmas Tree

Christmas trees have been used in homes for years. It was the Germans who started it. Now everyone seems to have a tree for Christmas. A real tree can look so beautiful in your home and it is fun to find Christmas decorations to place on it. However, it could make a mess of needles on your floor. An alternative, if you want a real tree is to buy one with roots. You can re-plant it in the spring. Another option is to purchase an artificial tree. These look realistic and will look beautiful each and every year.

Did you know that candles were used to light Christmas trees originally? This proved very dangerous, so now electric lights are used. You can find lights that flash and play Christmas songs too. Some people go over the top with tree decorations! Some people keep it simple, using ornaments, garland and of course a fairy or an angel on the top.
