This Week at 15 Acre Homestead

This week’s weather was so warm and sunny here in Florida that we got all of our cast iron pots ready for cooking outside again! I realized that not everyone knows how to properly season their pots, so I wrote a great post explaining How to Restore, Season, and Maintain Cast Iron Cookware for you.

Cast iron pots are being used by more and more people. Thrift stores, Second-hand shops and online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist are all great places to find them.

About the author

I'm a mama to four and grandma to six. Yankee born with a love of the south. I love old-fashioned ways with modern thinking. I'm a homesteader, gardener, blogger. I enjoy “from scratch” cooking, consider myself a crafty do-it-yourselfer, and animal rescuer.
